Abbott Laboratories wanted to create a functioning proof of concept application that uses AI to help manage labs and identify key areas of opportunities for efficiency.
The Challenge
Abbott’s business intelligence products were not utilizing AI for automating task or analyzing data and relied upon lab operations managers to analyze information and turn it into meaningful actionable outcomes. Making the process of managing a lab difficult.
They needed a new solution that could provide analytical insights across client labs and the business. While having AI capabilities to help run the operations of labs and provide operational recommendations for improving productivity.
The Outcome
Using AI to provide insights back to labs and Abbott on customer lab operations. The new digital tool Project Joshua, acts as an extension of Abbott’s laboratory operations teams providing data, insights and recommendations on how to improve operational efficiencies based on laboratory performance and peer benchmarking of customer data to provide a clearer picture on how the most effective labs operate.
Gathering business intelligence. The user data from the Project Joshua provides Abbott with a more comprehensive profile of customer labs to identify future areas of opportunity for Abbott and its clients.
As Creative Director I led the team that created the experience.
